1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using OikoWise, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms apply to all users including free, trial, and paid subscribers.
2. Description of Service
OikoWise is an AI-powered property management platform that provides maintenance scheduling, property history tracking, AI recommendations, contractor discovery, and related features. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature with reasonable notice.
3. Account Registration
You must create an account to use OikoWise. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information and promptly update it if it changes.
4. Free Trial
New users receive a 14-day free trial with full access to premium features. No credit card is required to start. At the end of the trial, your account reverts to the Free plan unless you subscribe. We reserve the right to modify trial terms.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. Prices are listed on our Pricing page and may change with 30 days notice. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law. Payment is processed securely through Stripe.
6. Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time from Account Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial months. Annual plan refunds are available within 14 days of purchase.
7. AI Recommendations Disclaimer
AI-generated maintenance recommendations are for informational purposes only. OikoWise does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI suggestions for your specific property. Always consult a licensed professional for structural, electrical, gas, or safety-related decisions.
8. Contractor Marketplace
OikoWise may facilitate connections with third-party contractors. We do not employ, supervise, or endorse any contractor listed on the platform. We are not responsible for the quality of work performed. Verify licenses, insurance, and credentials independently before hiring.
9. User Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload (photos, documents, notes). By uploading, you grant OikoWise a limited license to store and display your content to provide the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to any content you upload.
10. Prohibited Uses
You may not use OikoWise to: violate any laws; transmit malicious code; scrape or harvest data; impersonate others; attempt to gain unauthorized access; or use the service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the platform.
11. Limitation of Liability
OikoWise is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, OikoWise shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including property damage, arising from use of the platform.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in San Francisco, California.
